The side Buttons do NOT work with Surface duo.

Someone said that the android 12L update on Surface Duo broke the side button functionality and I tried to ask this question before purchasing but no one gave me the correct answer. so FYI THE PEN WORKS BUT THE *side BUTTONS DO NOT ON SURFACE DUO. *(Top bottom works)
